Bodmin Town Council launches local Covid-19 telephone hotline

Staying at home is tough, but necessary, in these difficult times. It can get a lot tougher if you have a problem that you can’t solve on your own. Most of us use the internet to find the right solution for our problems, but not all of us have access to the internet and this includes many elderly people, who also need to stay safely isolated. Bodmin Town Council’s Covid-19 Response Team has set up the Bodmin Hotline to provide people with a place to turn for vital information. The launch date for the hotline is Tuesday 14th April from 10am. The hotline is a first response telephone service for people who have a problem associated with being isolated in their homes. This may include things like not being able to get food or medicines or a household emergency such as a boiler breaking down.

The Bodmin Hotline number is 01208 455 163. It will be manned by Bodmin Town Councillors and other local volunteers from 10 am to 7 pm. Outside of these hours, calls will go through to a voice mail service and callers will be contacted when the service reopens.
