We are very excited to announce our wonderful news! Award winning Hendra Holiday Park have chosen Cornwall Mind as their charity of the year! A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Hendra Holiday Park team for choosing to support us this year, we are absolutely delighted. This generous gift will mean we reach more people needing help with mental health problems in Cornwall. Last year Hendra guests kindly donated 50p to Cornwall Mind when making their booking. Usually Hendra would organise charity raffles and fundraising activities at The Venue, their cabaret bar, but in 2020 this wasn’t possible.
“We are really pleased to have raised £2113 for Cornwall Mind during the course of 2020, however, with the interruptions to our usual fundraising activities, we are delighted to support Cornwall Mind for a further year in 2021. We hope to raise even more money this year, especially if we are able to organise fundraising events, as well as many guests continuing to make donations on booking. We feel that supporting Cornwall Mind is more important than ever before after the difficult year many people have had struggling with their mental health.”
Jon Hyatt, the Managing Director of Hendra
“We are delighted to have been chosen as Hendra’s charity of the year again. It is heart warming to see this kind of commitment from Cornish companies, not only helping to raise funds for the vital work we do here at Cornwall Mind, but also to raise awareness of the increasing mental health challenges people are facing. We are bracing ourselves for an unprecedented demand for mental health support and this announcement from Hendra will certainly help us to meet that need for the people of Cornwall. Thank you so much.”
