The staff and volunteers of Cornwall Mind have set themselves a Strava challenge to collectively walk/run/cycle the South West Coastal Path of 630 miles!
Why are we doing this? Two very important reasons.
- Team building – Our merge with Restormel Mind in Bodmin is almost complete, our two local Minds have joined together to create one county wide organisation. This is really exciting but we don’t really know each other that well yet. We can’t get together physically at the moment because of the restrictions at work, so this is a great way to start that important team bonding. Even if people don’t want to take part in any activity they can still read the club posts and find out how what we are all up to! It’s a social media Cornwall Mind group too.
- Wellbeing – We are working from home more now so it’s important to keep active and take regular exercise. We all know that getting outdoors boosts our mental wellbeing too. The social links are equally as important, it’s great to have something we can all be involved with outside of work. It’s meant to be fun and if people want to set some personal goals that’s great too. There will be a small prize at the end for whoever is at the top of the leader board!
It also helps promote Cornwall Mind, we want everyone to know about us, we are your local mental health charity.
If you want to sponsor us or donate a little something here is the link. Thank you.
