Volunteers’ Week 2019

Time to celebrate!

We would like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers as we celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2019. Without our dedicated team we would not be able to keep our services running. In 2018 our volunteers gave us 1264 hours of their time! That’s incredible, well done everybody!

We offer our volunteers training, support and supervision as well as paying expenses. Current opportunities include; helping with the Get Set to Go programmes in St Austell and Bodmin, Trustee roles, supporting staff to facilitate the wellbeing groups in Falmouth and Truro and helping with fundraising and events. To apply just email [email protected] and we can send a form for you to complete.

Volunteering can really help benefit health and wellbeing, giving your time to help others is linked to better self esteem and decreased depression, it’s human nature to feel good after helping someone out. Volunteering also helps address social isolation and leads to a feeling of belonging and sense of purpose, it can also help you gain valuable new skills and experiences, and boost your confidence.
