Volunteers’ Week takes place between the 1st – 7th June every year. It’s a chance to celebrate and say thank you for the contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
This is a perfect opportunity to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to all our amazing volunteers here at Cornwall Mind. Our wellbeing groups are not running at the moment which means our volunteer team isn’t in full action, we miss everyone and can’t wait to work with you again soon.
Without our dedicated volunteer team we could not offer the services we do or support the people that need us. The impact of those giving their time to Cornwall Mind is immeasurable.
To be a volunteer, it takes…
Generosity, a willingness to give your time to others
Understanding, because their lives might be very different from your own
Empathy, an ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and feel what they must feel
Compassion, to truly care about making someone else’s life better
Patience, because the process doesn’t always go as smoothly as it might
Dedication, to stick with the project and see it through
Our volunteers show these qualities and so much more, so thank you for all that you do.
