Music in Mind – Falmouth. (No musical experience needed).
Making music is a deeply creative activity that can help people express a range of thoughts and feelings.
You don’t have to be musical to benefit. It’s for anyone that would like to help improve their wellbeing especially after experiencing trauma.
Music is good for our mental health. Studies show that it can boost mood and help reduce stress.
Some people say they find music helpful because it can provide ways of addressing painful feelings and difficult experiences. This can include experiences of trauma. It can help raise self confidence and self esteem and provide a creative space for self expression.
We offer a 6 week music creation workshop. It’s a small group supported by a trauma informed professional songwriter and volunteer team.
It’s an opportunity to help you make sense of things and understand yourself better.
You’ll develop an understanding of how music can help with emotions and communication, and work through past experiences of trauma in an informal and positive way.
Once you’ve completed the workshop, there’s an opportunity to join an informal peer led music group.
When? Mondays 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm
