Climate Wellbeing Group

Worrying about climate changes can affect our mental health and wellbeing.

Anxieties about climate change can have a big impact on our wellbeing.

It’s understandable that people may worry or dwell on negative thoughts about the state of the planet. Worrying about the environment is sometimes called climate anxiety or eco-anxiety.

If climate change is affecting your mental health, spending time connecting to nature may be helpful.

We offer a 6 week programme that aims to inspire people to think positively about the future of the planet and consider ways to take action. As well as providing opportunities to support local community projects, these sessions will encourage people to learn new skills, connect with others, take notice of their surroundings and be more active – all of the Five Ways to Wellbeing.

It’s a small group and you’ll take part in activities such as tree planting, conservation, and creative projects using re-cycled materials. The sessions will be fun, relaxed and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to talk and reflect over a coffee or tea!

Once you’ve completed the 6 week programme, you can get involved with our monthly events.

Where? – The groups will be held throughout the county.
