In her professional life, Wendy worked in healthcare, including dementia care, and also as a primary school  teacher.

Wendy first joined the then Carrick Mind as a member, after a period of serious mental ill health 15 years ago. The help and support she received then inspired her to become a volunteer herself. Later, she became a member representative to the Board of Trustees and finally a Trustee for Cornwall Mind.

Because of her own experiences, Wendy believes passionately in empowering our members by involving and supporting them in recovery.
