Local Mind Week

It’s Local Mind Week, a chance for us to tell you how Mind is structured.

We’re part of a network of local Minds across England and Wales. There are over 100 local Minds.

Being local, means we understand our community – so we provide services that people need locally.

We’re proud to be part of the Mind family. We share knowledge and ideas. And nationally, Mind helps to support our work.

We support people’s mental health in many different ways.

We listen and give people time to speak about their concerns helping them find the right support.

Our services help people stay well by looking after their mental and physical health.

Local Minds supported more people than ever last year. 422,450 people were supported by a local Mind (up from 403,797 last year).

View our services: What We Do.

4213 people volunteered at their local Mind last year contributing 189.19k hours of support.

Here at Cornwall Mind we rely on our fantastic volunteers to help us deliver our services and support our day-to-day work.

We offer a variety of roles, a supportive working environment, valuable work experience, involvement in social activities, the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge, access to training, supervision and out of pocket expenses.

We are currently looking for volunteers in Bodmin, Liskeard and Looe. To find out more – Volunteer with us.

We also employ about 26 staff and are currently recruiting for more people to join our team. To look at our current vacancies visit: Work with us.

Although we’re part of the Mind family, Cornwall Mind is an independently registered and funded charity. There’s so much more we can do. Help us to do more locally by making a donation or fundraising for us.

Supporting #YourLocalMind means your donations directly support people in Cornwall.

We’re here to fight for mental health. For support. For respect. For anyone in Cornwall.
