Joining a walking group is a great way to stay active, connect with others and form new friendships. The social support can help you remain motivated too.

Research shows there’s more health benefits when we walk with others. Regular walking is good for our mental health, it can help to reduce stress levels, improve sleep and lower the risk of depression.

We offer free walking sessions, varying the routes around the local Bodmin area.

Each walk lasts approximately two hours, and you walk at a pace comfortable to you.

We also stop for a rest at a cafe to enjoy a little social group time.

What do I need? A pair of shoes suitable for walking, a water bottle, and a willingness to maintain or improve fitness and ultimately feel good about yourself.

The group also provides social contact, opportunities for friendship, and access to peer and professional support.

When? Mondays 1.30 – 3.30 pm fortnightly.

How do I sign up?

The walking group is really helping me build a routine in my week, which is so important to me, having autism. I feel very comfortable with everyone too, as you are all so friendly.
