Joining a walking group is a simple and effective way to improve both your physical fitness and mental wellbeing.
Regular walking helps build stamina, strengthen your body, and boost your overall energy levels. Being active outdoors and connecting with nature can also have a positive impact on your mood and motivation.
Walking with others brings added mental health benefits. Research shows that regular group walks can help reduce stress, improve sleep, lift mood, and lower the risk of depression. The supportive group environment can also help you stay motivated and make it easier to maintain a healthy routine.
We offer free walking sessions, with routes that vary around each local area. Each walk lasts approximately two hours.
What do I need?
Comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and a willingness to get active, improve your fitness, and support your mental wellbeing.
Alongside the physical and mental health benefits, the group also offers a chance to connect with others, build friendships, and access both peer and professional support.

How do I sign up?
The walking group is really helping me build a routine in my week, which is so important to me, having autism. I feel very comfortable with everyone too, as you are all so friendly.
